INTERSPACE ENCOUNTERS: PARKVIEW GARDENS

Interspace Encounters: Parkview Gardens reflects my experiences responding to the urban environment near where I live. Images were taken from a one-mile radius of my apartment in the Parkview Gardens neighborhood in University City, Missouri. The more I walked this area the more I trained my eye to notice the complexities and subtleties of the spaces. The series is both a representation of the physical space and my movement through it. Photographs and paintings come together in varied arrangements to invoke a disjointed sensibility of being outside in a negotiated space.
